My name is Danny Sourbis, and I had the pleasure of joining Serenity House Counseling Services, Inc. and DuPage Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) in September 2022. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate. I have an extensive amount of experience working with different populations: Substance Use Disorders/Addictions, Mental Illnesses, and Developmental Disabilities. I have experience in a variety of settings: Detox, Residential, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP), and Private Practice. I have also worked
in Utilization Management as the clinician gathering clinical as well as the insurance side receiving the clinical to authorize appropriate levels of care for clients At Serenity House Counseling Services Inc., I am a Recovery Coach who uses my experience in both my professional and personal life to help the residents of the halfway houses heal, have more support, and get more educated in their recovery. As a member of the DuPage ROSC, I am a Community Mentor Liaison who works to provide education, resources, and connect the continuum of care by treating not only just the substance aspect of recovery, but all of the areas that make up a person’s recovery including: mental health, housing, sober networks, employment, spirituality, etc. I have been lucky enough already to be a part of and witness outreach to different organizations/establishments such as schools, libraries, police stations, vape shops, and treatment centers where DuPage ROSC has provided Harm Reduction Education and Narcan. I look forward to closing the gaps in recovery by continuing to provide education, support, and resources to the community while connecting those in need to the different levels of care along the treatment continuum.
